Custom High-Traffic Axminster Carpet Installed Throughout the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach

The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a multi-purpose facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. Royal American Carpets furnished the Palm Beach Convention Center with the Custom, High-Traffic, Woven Axminster Carpet throughout the entire facility.

The entire setting consists of a 350,000 square-foot center, which features a 100,000 square-foot exhibit hall, a 22,000 square-foot ballroom and 21,000 square feet of flexible breakout space divisible into 19 rooms. The facility opened in January 2004 and hosts many high profile events. It is connected via covered walkway to the Hilton West Palm Beach Hotel, and is located across the street from Rosemary Square, an upscale shopping district with nightlife, restaurants, and shopping.

The Custom Woven Axminster carpet was manufactured and delivered within the accurate lead time of 11-13 weeks. Our experienced design staff spent several months working closely with the facility and their design team. Sampling alone included over 35 individual pieces to ensure the designs and colors met the approval of everyone involved. Individual design creations fit each unique area. Lengthy corridors received custom designs to fit the space. Divisible Meeting Rooms received custom patterns to fit their space.

The Woven Axminster Carpet for this project was produced using 80% wool and 20% nylon. There were a variety of technical factors that went into selection of the carpet for this type of facility. One example includes the optimal pile height of the carpet to withstand the heavy foot-traffic this Convention Center will no doubt receive.

The entirety of the Custom Designed Carpet epitomizes South Florida's sunny beaches all the way to their deep blue seas.
