SOLUTION-DYED NYLON

SOLUTION-DYED NYLON BROADLOOM CARPET

CYP / COLORTEC TECHNOLOGIES WITH Cut AND Loop Pile Carpet Construction

CYP

Computer Yarn Placement (CYP) is state-of-the-art carpet machinery that produces broadloom public space, guest room, and corridor carpets. CYP's advanced technology tufts carpet mainly with solution-dyed nylon, but is also capable of producing carpet or area rugs with wool.

MACHINE-TUFTED STRUCTURE

MACHINE-TUFTED STRUCTURE

CYP is considered the only machine that can compete with woven carpet in the industry. With more stitches per square inch, the carpet can support increased density, thus enhancing the performance. Another benefit to increased density is also pattern clarity. In addition, our CYP machinery accommodates a complete range of backings in order to meet the needs of an installation.

OVERVIEW:
- Cut pile or Cut/Loop
- Up to 6 colors
- 12 to 15 foot widths
- Weight ranges 34 – 70+ oz.
- Minimum orders are 100 square yards

ADVANTAGES OF CYP:
• Small minimum order of only 100 square yards
• Custom design capabilities
• Unlike Woven Axminster Carpet, CYP offers a cut and loop texture - With 6 color placements, designs can have the appearance of 12 colors using the cut/loop capabilities
• Virtually limitless pattern and color options
• Large pattern repeat capability
• Custom widths are available - Such as 12’, 12'6", 13', 13’6”, all the way up to 15’
• Custom weights are available
• Produced in the U.S.A.
• LEED Certified
• 360 color selection
• Barber pole yarn capabilities - Adds the effect of multiple colors

ADVANTAGES OF SOLUTION-DYED NYLON:
Our CYP Carpet is made with Aquafil yarns, the world's largest SDN color selection (360). Solution-dyed yarns and fibers are pre-colored by the fiber manufacturer by introducing pigments into the molten polymer before extrusion into fiber. This process offers advantages such as:

• Durability and resiliency
• Abrasion-resistant
• Wet-cleaning friendly
• Fade resistance and color fastness
• Harsh chemical use to treat tough stains and never remove the color

ATTACHED PADDING:
Backings are the key to hospitality carpet holding up to the demands of heavy foot traffic. Attached Paddings are made with premium polyurethanes that can be applied over unitary latex as well as Actionbac. Attached padding has many added benefits to commercial/hospitality carpet.

The first is that Attached Padding provides a more comfort underfoot. Machine-tufted carpet, unlike woven carpet, has a secondary backing, which has the potential to delaminate from the primary backing. Attached padding offsets this condition because it bonds directly with the carpet fibers during the manufacturing process. This process enhances both the dimensional stability and delamination resistance.

Commercial and hospitality carpets receive spills and stains that can potentially cause damage. Another benefit offered from Attached Padding is that it equips the carpet with a moisture resistance that decreases the threat of molds and mildew.

Installation is also made easier when using padding. During installation of an Attached Padded product, it's such a seamless process, because it's now a direct glue-down application. Rather than jeopardizing an install with incorrect adhesives over padding, the Attached Padding uses multi-purpose specifications. Removal also becomes an easier process.

This machine produces broadloom carpet with solution dyed nylon, adding the benefits of the fiber in various installation types. Colortec, unlike CYP, offers only a cut pile finished product. However, if the specifications require production of area rugs or logo rugs, pile height can greatly increase, adding a luxurious soft feel. The minimum order is 500 square yards.
