Project (RED) Suite - Andaz West Hollywood

Customized Carpet for Hotel Suite at the Hyatt Andaz in Hollywood, California

A newly renovated suite at the Andaz West Hollywood (RED) will now donate 30% of future booking fees to Project (RED)'s fight against AIDS.

The interior design and furnishings were performed by none other than Jonathan Adler and their talented staff. With a 70's inspired theme and original artwork from Kelsey Montague, it's a one-of-a-kind experience everywhere inside the suite. This Hyatt hotel is located right on the Sunset Strip, and well-known for accommodating popular rock and roll bands back in the 1970's.

Royal American Carpets was thrilled to be a part of this project, as we manufactured the custom carpet installed throughout the suite. Included below are the specifications and a few photos of the hospitality space. Designed for beauty and longevity, the hotel suite carpet contains the following specifications:

  • Cut and loop texture

  • Stripe design, with the widest of the stripes containing a greek key design, in loop pile

  • The carpet contains 3 total colors

  • We produced this hotel suite carpet in 100% solution dyed nylon

  • Due to the rapid lead times requested, we were able to produce and deliver this carpet in less than 10 weeks

What it (RED) you ask? Well it's an organization founded by U2 songwriter Bono and journalist Bobby Shriver in 2006, intended to eliminate AIDS throughout the African continent. Raising funds is of course the mission in order to accomplish this goal. And Hyatt Hotels and Andaz West Hollywood have come up with this wonderful approach to increase donations. In the past 10 years, (RED) has raised approximately $465 million dollars and impacted the lives of 90 million people.
